What is the working principle of the turbine flow meter?


The working principle of the turbine flow meter is that when the fluid flows through the sensor housing, the angle between the blades of the impeller and the flow direction causes the fluid's impact to generate a torque on the blades. After overcoming the friction torque and fluid resistance, the blades rotate. When the torque is balanced, the rotation speed stabilizes, and under certain conditions, the rotation speed is proportional to the flow rate. Since the blades have magnetic properties, they are in the magnetic field of the signal detector, and the rotating blades cut through the magnetic lines of force, periodically changing the magnetic flux in the coil, which induces an electrical pulse signal at both ends of the coil. This signal is amplified and shaped by an amplifier, forming a continuous rectangular pulse wave with a certain amplitude, which can be transmitted to a display instrument to show the instantaneous flow and cumulative amount of the fluid.


To ensure the long-term normal operation of the gas turbine flow meter, it is necessary to regularly check the operating status of the flow meter, perform maintenance work, and promptly eliminate any problems found.
