What is a gas turbine flow meter?

The pulse frequency signal output from the gas turbine flowmeter is not affected by changes in fluid properties and components. In other words, the instrument coefficient of the gas turbine flowmeter is only related to the shape and size of the vortex generator and pipeline within a specific Reynolds number range. However, as a flowmeter, when detecting mass flow in material balance and energy measurement, the output signal of the flowmeter must simultaneously monitor volumetric flow and fluid density, as fluid properties and components directly affect flow measurement. The gas vortex street flowmeter is a new type of flowmeter that measures closed pipe fluid flow based on the Kármán vortex street principle. Due to its strong adaptability to media, it can directly measure the volumetric flow of steam, air, gas, water, and liquids under working conditions without temperature and pressure compensation. Temperature and pressure sensors can measure standard volumetric flow and mass flow, making it an ideal alternative to throttling flowmeters.
