1. The Roots flowmeter is an instrument for accurately measuring gas flow. Based on the principle of volumetric measurement, it is used to accurately measure the total amount of gas flowing through a closed pipeline. The basic types of flowmeters include lobe flow sensors and flow integrators (secondary instruments).

3. The manufacturer of the ITRON Electronic Correction Instrument believes that for newly laid pipelines or flowmeters that are started for the first time, the bypass valve should be opened before starting, and the gas to be measured or other gases should be used to flush out dirt and impurities in the pipeline;

4. The manufacturer of the ITRON Electronic Correction Instrument believes that the start-stop operation requirements for the Roots flowmeter are: open the bypass valve to allow liquid to flow normally through the bypass valve; slowly open the valve upstream of the flowmeter to fill the flowmeter with gas; vent by loosening the vent screw on the upper cover with a wrench, and immediately tighten the vent screw after venting; close the bypass valve and use the downstream valve to adjust the flow until needed. The flowmeter will enter normal operating status; for continuous flowmeters, the stop operation is the opposite of the start operation; for intermittent flowmeters, stopping or restarting only involves operating (adjusting) the downstream valve; during the operation of the lobe flowmeter, there are no complex operational requirements, just monitor normal operation. When the flow rate is less than the required flow rate, pressure loss can be observed on both sides of the filter. If the pressure loss exceeds 0.05 MPa, the filter needs to be opened and the filter screen cleaned.

1. Before installation, impurities in the pipeline must be removed to prevent foreign objects from entering, as any impurities can damage the flowmeter.

2. Before installing the Roots flowmeter into the pipeline, check whether the rotor rotates flexibly.

3. After the flowmeter is installed, there should be no installation stress to avoid damaging the flowmeter.

4. The manufacturer of the ITRON Electronic Correction Instrument believes that after installation is complete, the bolt above the synchronous gear needs to be unscrewed, and a small screwdriver should be used to extend it to the gear chuck. Rotate the rotor to check whether it rotates freely. If there is any sticking phenomenon, remove the flowmeter, clear the debris, and reinstall.
