The basic model of the flow meter consists of two parts: the Roots flow sensor and the flow integrator (secondary instrument). The flow meter uses advanced microcontroller technology and high-tech low power consumption, allowing for pressure setting and automatic temperature tracking compensation calculations for the measured medium, and directly displays the total volume under standard conditions (P0=101.325kPa, T0=293.15K).

The Roots flow meter, also known as a rotary lobe flow meter, is mainly used for high-precision measurement instruments for continuous or intermittent measurement of gas or liquid flow in pipelines. It features high control accuracy, good reliability, lightweight, long lifespan, low operational noise, and convenient installation. It supports 20MA or 1-5V analog signals, 485 communication, 4-20mA HART, Modbus protocol, etc. The rotary lobe flow meter consists of a measuring chamber, a rotor obtained from measurement, an assembly of measuring system components (i.e., internal control measuring working components), and a counting display component. The housing structure of the rotary lobe flow meter includes a measuring chamber, which has one or two pairs of lobes that can rotate tangentially (essentially gears with a modulus of 2). A pair of driving gears is mounted on the shaft, which mesh with each other, allowing the two pulleys to connect with each other.
