Usage method and principle of Roots flow meter
Roots flow meterA filter should be installed in front, and the arrows on the two bodies of the meter should point in the same direction as the flow. When the liquid being measured contains gas, a gas separator should be installed in front of the flow meter. Whether the pipeline is installed vertically or horizontally, the rotor shaft of the flow meter should be installed in a horizontal position (i.e., the dial should be vertical to the ground). Before installing the Roots flow meter, the pipeline needs to be flushed. During flushing, use a straight pipe section (replace the air flow meter for positioning) to prevent welding slag and debris from entering the flow meter. It is strictly forbidden to calibrate flow meters made of cast iron and cast steel with water.
(Roots) uses mechanical measuring elements to continuously divide the fluid into individual known volume fractions and measures the total flow based on the number of times the metering chamber is filled and discharged in sequence.
When the fluid flows through the flow meter, the dynamic pressure of the fluid creates a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, driving the pulley to rotate.
When the fluid pushes the rotor on the d2 shaft to rotate counterclockwise, the attached drive gear drives the rotor on the d1 shaft to rotate clockwise, turning 90 degrees, becoming the state shown in Figure 1c, where the upper rotor is pushed by the fluid. As the clock rotates, the driving gear drives the lower rotor to rotate counterclockwise. When the rotor rotates 360 degrees, four times the effective control volume of the traditional metering chamber is discharged from the flow meter. In this way, the two rotors are driven to rotate alternately, and as the rotors rotate, the fluid is continuously discharged from the flow meter through the metering chamber. The amount of fluid that can be discharged for each full rotation of the rotor is not a fixed value, meaning the discharge amount is not necessarily proportional to the number of rotations of the rotor shaft. Through the rotor shaft and other transmission system mechanisms, the number of rotations is reduced and transmitted to the accumulator to display a portion. The working principle of the rotor flow meter determines that as long as the internal design and assembly of the measuring chamber are appropriate, there will be higher accuracy and lower starting flow. It is extremely important in gas metering. It not only meets the measurement accuracy of normal gas consumption for residents but also overcomes the problem that other flow meters do not work for low gas consumption.
The root is placed at the center of the pipeline, supported by bearings at both ends. When the fluid can pass through various pipelines, the impactRoots flow meterof the impeller generates a driving torque for the Roots flow meter, allowing the turbine flow meter to overcome the trade friction torque and the fluid resistance torque to produce rotation. Within a certain flow range, for a certain fluid medium viscosity, the rotational speed of the Roots flow meter is proportional to the speed of the fluid. Therefore, the fluid flow can be obtained from the rotational speed of the Roots flow meter, allowing the calculation of the fluid flow through the pipeline. The rotational speed of the Roots flow meter is detected by a sensing control coil installed outside the housing. WhenRoots flow meterthe blade cuts through the magnetic field lines generated by the magnetic steel in the housing, it causes a change in the magnetic flux in the sensing coil. The sensing coil detects the periodic changes in magnetic flux and sends the signal to the preamplifier, continuously amplifying and shaping the signal system, generating a pulse output signal proportional to the flow, which is sent to the construction unit for conversion and flow data accumulation circuit, obtaining and displaying the cumulative flow value of the enterprise.
